Laboratorios Bagó continues its paper recycling and reuse program with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and resource optimization.
Through its internal campaign, which seeks to minimize the use of this resource and recycle all paper used, it achieved that 80% of discarded paper and cardboard, both in production and administration, is recycled. Likewise, strong efforts are being made to minimize its use through training and other actions such as the digitalization of all operational management manuals and the reuse of materials, among others.
Responsible resource management positively impacts the environment. Paper recycling: reduces water consumption (one ton of recycled paper saves over 30,000 liters) and energy (manufacturing paper from recycled pulp requires 60% less energy than from virgin cellulose), helps conserve forests (one ton of recycled paper saves 16 medium-sized trees), and decreases landfill overload.
The program has donated over 240 tons to various recycling institutions, which prevented the felling of more than 4,000 trees for paper production and the use of over 7 million liters of water.
